Curiously enough, the first places were taken mainly by European countries, but among the most unfriendly destinations were named Muslim states and, surprisingly, the Far East – for example, South Korea and Japan. Let's talk about the countries where you will always feel welcome.
5-th place: Croatia
Croatian National Theater in Zagreb
Excellent architecture, sights with a rich history and of course, the clean Adriatic coast make more and more guests fall in love with them. And such affectionate feelings are of course mutual. Regardless of the fact that in the resort towns of Croatia, most hotels have 3 (less than 4) stars, and vacationers sometimes experince far from efficient service and not well thought-out infrastructure, tourists are ready to turn a blind eye on these imprefections in return for nice treatment. What is more, in this country there is a rather low level of crime and theft. Every year new hotels appear here and locals work hard to make the rest of tourists more comfortable.
4-the place: Portugal
Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitoria in Batalha
Portugal is famous for its exceptional friendliness to tourists. For example, if you ask a Portuguese person how to get to the right place, be prepared that they will take you there. In small towns a foreign visitor can even be invited to one's home and treated to a glass of wine. Tourists also love Portugal for the beautiful weather when in the rest of Europe it is late autumn or early spring. In this country you should definitely visit cities with ancient castles and palaces, enjoy the local cuisine and learn to unwind to Portuguese music and dancing.
3-th place: USA
Hotel Del Coronado, California
Since America is a multinational country, it is very tolerant to representatives of all races and nationalities. By the way, the US is considered a safe country for tourists. During the winter months, it is nice to visit the mountain resorts (for example, Aspen). In summer you can spend time lying on the superb beaches of Florida and Hawaii, and in the off-season – enjoy the luxury and grandeur of big cities (for example, that of New York or Chicago).
2-nd place: Spain
Bike or bus tour of the city – it's your choice
It's no secret that tourism brings its huge share to the Spanish economy, and the Spaniards are well aware of the rules of hospitality. Moreover, this country was recognized as the best for those who travel alone. This is especially true for the cities of Seville and Barcelona. Of course, travelers with experience understand that in special tourist spots they can encounter deception or unscrupulous service – which is only a small shortcoming, compared to the sunny weather and open hearts of Spaniards.
1-st place: Austria
Innsbruck – the capital of the province of Tyrol
Austria occupies an honorable first place among the countries which are most favoured by tourists. First, the residents and authorities of Austria do everything to make travelers comfortable and interested. They cherish and take pride in the great cultural heritage and architecture, but without excessive pathos and arrogance share them with the guests of the country. In Austria, it is customary to be polite not because of the existing good manners, but because politeness and benevolence is the accepted lifestyle. Whether you came to the mountains or decided to walk the streets of Vienna, be prepared that you will be greeted with a smile wherever you go.
