Fashion shows dictate us not only what to wear, but also what trends in makeup will be the most relevant each season. In this article we will tell about all main tendencies in makeup for spring-summer of 2019.

Nude makeup
A makeup, which emphasizes natural beauty is, perhaps, the main trend of recent seasons. Now is the time when it is popular to appreciate individuality, unique beauty of each person and well-groomed face. Many makeup artists don't use mascara anymore, only good tone and highlighter are visible on models, just like in everyday life.

Unusual arrows
Expressive designers have been using graphic arrows for a long time, but this season even the conservatives started talking about them. For example, Coach brand started to draw arrows under a lower eyelid; Dior makeup artists adopted large hieroglyphs, and Rochas brand makeup artists drew playful tails from the usual arrows. Minimalist lines under the eyebrow or right above the moving eyelids were popular too.

Bold pink
Popularity of pink is growing every season. This year the calm, pastel shade of pink has become more mature and more rebellious. On the Chromat fashion show on the eyelashes bright pink, closer to fuchsia, was applied. Rodarte and Savage x Fenty went far and showed us how beautiful  pink arrows and pink smokey eyes can be. Of course, we don't think that these sometimes crazy ideas will be a part of our everyday life, but all we know for sure is that pink makeup is going to become an important part of the look of some true fashionistas.

Foil
Metallic shades of eyeshadows, holograms and foil elements are new trends in makeup. Halpern, Jeremy Scott and Kate Spade applied foil to make an emphasis on lips and eyes.  A dry pigment with glitter was used at a Jeremy Scott fashion show. A more "wearable" example of the use of metallic in everyday life was shown by Anna Sui makeup artists. Models wore golden eyeshadows in a holographic design - at the corners of the eyes and moving eyelids.

Red lipstick
Red lipstick isn't a fresh trend in makeup, but it surely is one of the most popular. The difference is that this season makeup artists started to use red lipstick to create an effect of kissed lips, shading the lipstick with fingers from the center of the lips to the corners. In this case using a blush of the same tone would be very appropriate. This “trick” was successfully done by the make-up artist of the Gareth Pugh brand.

Mono shadows
Various matt eyeshades were used by makeup artists of many brands - Rodarte, Gabriela Hearst, Peter Pilotto, Byblos and others. The main idea of such make-up lies in maintaining a clear accent, so you will not see feathers, gradients and smooth transitions. Alice and Olivia models came out on the podium with “borders” drawn with pencil under the expressive eyeshadows.
