the worst hotela in Europe

High price for the room and the number of hotel "stars" - is not the reason to relax and skip reading the reviews. Sometimes even for decent money a tourist can be settled in terrible conditions.

Berkeley Court ★★, London, UK
Price for double room: EUR 75
Location: Westminster

As the guests of the hotel write in the reviews, there are bedbugs in the beds, the rooms are terribly dirty, and you need to ask for changing of linen and towels. In the bathroom there is no soap or toilet paper. Audibility here is so great that you can perfectly hear how people from other floors snore.

Guest reviews at Booking.com:
"A great noise from the streets. Dirty curtains do not protect against noise and light. "
"The magnetic key did not work even once and it was necessary to "re-magnetize" it at the reception every day."

Berkeley Court

Hotel Manhattan ★, Brussels, Belgium
Price for double room: EUR 75-80
Location: Adolphe Max Boulevard

This "one-star" hotel will not please you with any new design, nor cleanliness, nor hot water in the rooms. Guests also complain about a poor-quality breakfast, paid wi-fi and very smoked rooms. As the windows of the hotel look onto the street, it's noisy here day and night. In the cold season, it's very cold here, and in summer you there is not even find a fan.

Guest review at Booking.com:
"A disgusting mattress, very stuffy. The window of the room looked onto the street – it was impossible to sleep – you can hear screams all night."

Hotel Manhattan

Modern's Hotel Paris ★★, Paris, France
Price for double room: EUR 125
Location: 12th arrondissement, Bercy

The hotel is situated very close to the Gare de Lyon, and the tourists often stop here for one night. Guests complain about dirty carpets, sheets that are burnt through with cigarettes, stains on the linen and even insects! In addition, the staff is very unfriendly here. For breakfast, only coffee, bread and jam are served.

Guest reviews at Tripadvisor.com:
"Better to have a sleepover at the railway station - do not stop here."
"There was a feeling this hotel is very dirty, especially the carpets were dirty and sticky."

Modern’s Hotel Paris

Grand Hotel Pristina ★★★★★, Pristina, Kosovo
Price for double room: EUR 90
Location: Mother Theresa Boulevard

The hotel is completely left in the communist past, especially it is noticeable due to the condition of the furniture in the rooms and broken bathroom fixtures. The 13-story building, on average, has only few guests, about a couple of percents, and on the empty floors you can see pigeons fly. Despite the southern climate of the region, there are no air conditioners, it is very dirty and untidy.

Guest review at Tripadvisor.com:
"Old bathrooms, food was average in quality, if not to say bad."

Grand Hotel Pristina

The Merchants Hotel ★★, Manchester, United Kingdom
Price for double room: EUR 110-125
Location: Back Piccadilly street

70% Tripadvisor reviews of this hotel are marked by an "awful" mark. People write that the hotel photos on popular booking services are not true. The rooms are very small, dirty, and toilets and washbasins are available only on the floors. Thin walls create a great audibility - both between the rooms and the street. From the bathroom accessories, guests are offered to use only soap, and there are no towels.

Guest review at Booking.com:
"The walls are so thin that they create a sense of living on the street, and the hot water was slightly warm."
