And don't forget to take off your jewelry before visiting, as the high concentration of sulfur in the water not only makes your skin and hair soft and tender, but also oxidizes silver, which makes it turn black quickly.

Okatse Canyon

The Okatse Canyon offers a literally breathtaking view from the observation deck above the abyss. The deepest gorge of the rushing Okatse Mountain River is an impressive natural monument located near the city of Kutaisi.

Vardzia

One of the most prominent places in Georgia is Vardzia, a monastery complex built in caves in the 12th and 13th centuries. It is a majestic monument of medieval architecture. In the 1100s, it was used as a defense complex during the war with the Seljuk Turks. But after the great earthquake of 1283, a huge part of the rock broke away from the cliff and exposed part of the caves, and after that the complex was used only as a monastery.

Batumi

Batumi is the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. The city contrasts greatly with Tbilisi in terms of its architecture. Traveling from Tbilisi to Batumi feels like traveling from the past to the future. Ancient churches, houses, streets, and neighborhoods are replaced by shimmering skyscrapers, glass and futuristic towers on the shores of the warm Black Sea.
